Dmitry Korzun is an Efficient Reviewer of the Leading International Journals on IT
Dmitry Korzun, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematical Support of PetrSU, was included in the list of the best reviewers in 2019 by several international first- and second-quartile journals (according to SCImago Journal Rank – SJR): Entropy, Sensors, Symmetry, BDCC.
These and several other journals on ICT, computer science and applications (Future Internet, Sustainability, Computation, Energies, Electronics) are published by MDPI Publisher. Dmitry Korzun is listed as a reviewer in each journal.
Justifiably, in 2020 Dmitry Korzun was offered to put together a team of guest editors to create a special issue of Electronics, as PetrSU scientists are globally renowned experts in end-to-end digital technologies: neurotechnologies and artificial intellect; blockchain; new production technologies (including digital design and modeling); robotics and sensors; wireless technologies and virtual and augmented reality.
Since 2013 Dmitry Korzun has been a member of editorial board of many leading foreign and Russian journals, many of which are interdisciplinary, namely The International Journal of Embedded and Real-Time Communication Systems (IJRTCS), International Journal on Advances in Internet Technology (by IARIA), Baltic Journal of Modern Computing (BJMC), Journal SPIIRAS Proceedings, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Computer Science (JTACS).
According to the Associate Professor of PetrSU, a reviewer should first and foremost have:
· Critical thinking (to analyze shortcomings);
· Practical positivity and provide specific critique, as any reviewed paper can potentially be published, the authors merely need to be directed on how to do it;
· Extensive knowledge in the area of expertise and related fields in order to provide authors with examples of similar solutions.
To Dmitry Korzun the inclusion in the lists of best reviewers of international journals is a flattering assessment of his contributions. There are other benefits of the status of a reviewer, for instance when publishing articles in journals published by MDPI Publisher.
