In Simple Terms: Global Warming and Other Environmental Issues in the Modern World
The Center for Applied Linguistic Studies held a lecture by Dan Szetela, Fulbright Scholar who is currently teaching at the Institute of Economics and Law of Petrozavodsk State University.
The meeting focused on the issues of ecology and consisted of two parts: interactive tasks and presentation on global warming and climate change. The event convened the 5th year students of the Institute of Foreign Languages. The students discussed such pressing environmental issues as oil spilling, water shortage, animal rights.
At the presentation, Dan Szetela provided insight into the studies of global warming and its consequences, which we see every day in different countries of the world. The audience immensely appreciated the presentation, the thoroughness of the research, and the different points of view on the issues.
