PetrSU Students Continue Studying on Exchange Programs
Natalia Goriaeva, a graduate of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, tells about studying in Hungary.
“I am studying on a Master Degree program at the Eszterházy Károly University in the city of Gyöngyös. Students have been moved from the dormitory to a nearby hotel, thus putting us all together. The sports gym, laundry, cafe, and even the football field and basketball court have been closed. Our only way to enliven our free time is to sit on a bench near the dormitory.
We are allowed to go to the city, there are no restrictions. The only requirement is to leave for the city after 12.00. We cannot leave the dormitory without masks and gloves. Most citizens follow the recommendations. During the Easter holidays, I must wear a mask and gloves and keep a distance of 1.5 meters. The police of the Gyöngyös city district tightened control and increased checks during the Easter holidays. They can issue fines for noncompliance with the requirements.
We have been studying online for two weeks. The transition was smooth, it all happened in one day. All materials are posted on the University's electronic portal. Moreover, many teachers have created their courses on Google Classroom, where they publish all assignments and materials. The lectures are held via the Zoom app and in the group chat on Facebook, which is even more convenient since there are no time limits.
The situation is stable. There is no panic. Everyone is alive and well."
