The Team of the EU Information Center of PetrSU Took Part in International Online Conference
The conference was organized by the EU Delegation to Russia and featured Mariusz Sielski, a visiting professor of the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium).
The online meeting convened teachers and students from 13 universities of Russia and focused on the discourse and politics of European populists in the present-day conditions.
PetrSU team included the manager of the Information Center Aleksey Kupriakhin, the Head of the Department of International Projects Aleksey Rogozin, as well as the students of the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences: Taisia Sarycheva, Evgeny Nikolaev, Ekaterina Shestakova, Maria Pimenova, and Yana Stepanova.
Most questions submitted by PetrSU participants were chosen by the moderator for discussion and commented on by the European expert. At the end of the conference, Professor Sielski switched to the Russian language and talked about his work and business visits to Russia, including Petrozavodsk. He highlighted that it is the direct interaction between researchers and students from Russia and the EU in the academic and cultural environment that is the key to a reasonable and unbiased approach to the formation of the EU policy towards Russia.
