Online Class in the Basics of Communication
The EU Information Center of PetrSU held a pilot class dedicated to the basics of communication in the Hungarian language.
Virag Szucs, a Master's Degree student at the University of Szeged (Szegedi Tudományegyetem) delivered a short introductory lecture for the participants of the Stipendium Hungaricum program.
In her presentation, Virag introduced basic words and phrases in Hungarian, provided necessary explanations, as well as taught their correct pronunciation. The lecture focused on “survival” communication: addressing people, shopping in grocery stores, orientation, etc.
The class is a precursor of a more large-scale online event in the form of an interview with an expert dedicated to the language, culture, and traditions of Hungary, at which students will have an opportunity to ask questions both online and offline.
