PetrSU in the Top-30 of the National University Ranking
The National University Ranking by Interfax released its annual results. The ranking includes 337 universities and institutes of Russia.
Petrozavodsk State University has improved its positions in the ranking. The Flagship University of Karelia holds the 1st place in the general ranking among flagship universities, 5th place among the universities of the Northwestern Federal District (only universities of Saint Petersburg are higher), 27-28 place among all universities of Russia.
University performance was evaluated against six criteria: educational activities, research, social environment, internationalization (international cooperation), brand, innovations and technological entrepreneurship.
Among flagship universities PetrSU holds the leading positions in the criteria Education – 1st place, Internationalization – 1st place, Innovations – 2nd place, Social Environment – 3rd place, Brand – 5th place.
The ranking includes all prominent Russian universities: 29 national research universities, 10 federal, 33 flagship universities, as well as 21 universities participating in the 5-100 Project and 7 nongovernmental universities.
The project National University Ranking is implemented by the Interfax International Information Group since 2010. It aims to develop tools and procedures for an independent evaluation of Russian universities and their educational programs, increase the competitiveness of the Russian educational system, research and technological entrepreneurship, develop federal and regional universities.
