Congratulatory letters keep coming from Russian and foreign colleagues and partners. Naturally, such a significant event deserves the media spotlight.

The Rector of PetrSU Anatoly Voronin, Victor Vasilyev (PetrSU Rector from 1991 until 2006), Anna Dzhaparidze (an employee of PetrSU Museum), and Yuliya Petina (Chairperson of the Council of Students of PetrSU) talked about the past and present of our university.

In the interview with the TV Channel correspondent Anatoly Voronin noted:

“PetrSU has approached its anniversary with good results. We have a large scope of scientific research. We constantly win various federal and international contests. Our university is now implementing more than 200 federal and international projects. PetrSU is one of the leaders in our country.

PetrSU is in the top-30 of the national rankings. This year we took 27th place among all Russian universities. Needless to say, it is an excellent and significant result to us”

The rector of the university outlined plans and prospects for the development:

“PetrSU development plans are far-reaching. We are preparing to participate in the Strategic Academic Leadership Programs contest that will take place in September-October. We hope, we will win and reinforce PetrSU status as a Flagship University.

We’re arranging the preparation of development programs for each institute. These programs contain the development strategy of our university up to the end of 2030.

We have great plans to develop our campus in one of the districts of the city, where we are going to build educational and production buildings, laboratories, and educational buildings. I believe that it will be one of the best campuses in Russia”
