PetrSU Student on Exchange Program
Daria Yakovleva, a student of the Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, shared impressions of her studies at the Institute of Technology and Economics in České Budejovice (the Czech Republic).
Daria studied there on an exchange program during the spring semester of 2020.
“A study visit to the Czech Republic was a little adventure for me. Because of the coronavirus outbreak, I stayed there only a month and a half, but the visit will remain in my heart forever.
In the first weeks, every exchange student had a “buddy” (tutor), who helped and advised in everything. Students have come from different countries (Turkey, Portugal, Russia, Korea). During the first week, we got acquainted with the city, drove around the neighborhood, and were engaged in various activities. This helped us to get to know each other better.
The training was conducted in English, but I didn’t have any trouble, everything was comprehensible and clear, and if something happened, you could always contact the teacher. After a month and a half in the Czech Republic, we returned to our countries, but the training was not over and continued remotely. After completion, we got the confirmation of attendance to the training course by mail.
I am glad that I visited the Czech Republic and studied at VŠTE. I have traveled almost all over the Czech Republic and met many interesting people from different countries. I would highly recommend it to everyone!”
