“Thank you to all the commissioners of the BRIDGE 4th session, who were always open to interaction with international student teams, explained the specifics of their business, gave prompt feedback on the teams’ ideas and solutions, were mentors and credible experts”, thanked the organizers of the session.
The winner of the BRIDGE 4th session is the Сontextra team consisting of five students of Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Finland, Tornio), ITMO University, and two 3rd year students of the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU (Anastasia Pozdnyakova, team leader, and Karina Astakhova), coaches - Teresa Chen, Finnish Lecturer of International Communications at Lapland University of Applied Sciences, and Oksana Prokhorova, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Management of PetrSU, as well as Mikhail Glushanok, Director of Contextra (a 4th-year student of the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU).
Mikhail Glushanok has participated in two sessions of the BRIDGE project:
“Participation in the international project in different roles (the first time as a participant and the second time as a commissioner) was a formidable challenge for me. Communication and collaboration in English, work with people of different cultures, European market research greatly appealed to me! After two victories in sessions with serious competition, I became convinced that my model of management has proved to be more effective and "more human" than the other teams' models. Competition always brings out the best ideas and solutions. I have been working as a project manager for several years. I am always interested in taking on new tasks of varying complexity.
As the winner of the last session and the owner of the business, I wanted to bring something new to the project. This year we have introduced a system of mentors when every participant worked directly with the head of a certain area within the organization. Moreover, last year I wanted to see more motivation and a constructive agenda of the commissioners themselves. This time I tried to give the guys something that I didn’t have enough of: attention, organization of a strategy, help with training materials, support, and motivation. I was very lucky to work with open and motivated people like Nastya Pozdnyakova, Karina Astakhova, Dasha Savkova, Lena Morozova, Sudkhan, and Nikita Gamza. My best team! Besides, I had to promote my agency Contextra. We provide a huge range of marketing services. The BRIDGE project helped us to start “packing” our agency, and the victory inspired my guys and me! Now we are ready for even greater challenges!”
UiT the Arctic University of Norway, Lead Partner of the project, will organize and host the next BRIDGE 5th session in Alta in March 2021. The online session of the BRIDGE project in Petrozavodsk reflected the presence of the special entrepreneurial spirit of the participants and affirmed once again project flexibility and quick adaptability to the current realities.
