Telebridge "Russia-Kazakhstan": PetrSU and Eurasian National University named after Leo Gumilyov
The Resource Center for Modern Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages has again convened with the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of International Relations of Eurasian National University (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan) in order to expand the foreign language environment and prepare highly qualified specialists of the future. IrinaAbramova and AnastasiaAnanyina, employees of the Resource center, and Anna Esengalieva, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the Eurasian National University, organized a Russia-Kazakhstan telebridge on "Mediation as an effective tool for resolving international conflicts".
The meeting convened 25 second-year students of International Relationsof both universities. Future international experts discussed the problem of conflictogenityin the modern global world and the phenomenon of mass protests as one of the responses to the changing geopolitical context, as well as possible ways to counter radicalism and extremism.
The telebridge has become yet another stage in the interaction between PetrSU and ENU, whichstarted last year. Cooperation with one of the leading classical universities in Kazakhstan let PetrSU, one of the Flagship universities in Russia, discover new opportunities and prospects for the development of inter-academic communication amidst new challenges due to the difficult epidemiological situation in Russia and in the world.
All participants and organizers highly appreciated the both parties’ willingness to communicate, noted the friendly and transparent atmosphere during communication and expressed their willingness to hold regularly such meetings. The next telebridge, with the working title"Diplomacyinthe Modern World", will cover the aspects and trends in the development of modern diplomacy.
