Future Technologies in the Field of Cross-Border Tourism

The Karelian Regional Institute of Continuing Professional Education of PetrSU, with the support of a partner network, held an information and education webinar on the future technologies in the field of cross-border tourism, Russian and Finnish travel companies' cooperation in implementing innovation and attractive digital and other services in tourism and hospitality.

The Karelian Regional Institute of Continuing Professional Education of PetrSU, with the support of a partner network, held an information and education webinar on the future technologies in the field of cross-border tourism, Russian and Finnish travel companies' cooperation in implementing innovation and attractive digital and other services in tourism and hospitality. 

Famous film actors, showmen and tourist TV programs and festivals presenters Viktor Bychkov and Ville Haapasalo, experts Laura Olin and Anu Nylund participated in the webinar as speakers with over 250 listeners from Finland and Russia. 

During the webinar, they discussed the tourism nowadays' development in the border areas, the prospects for interaction between Russian and Finnish companies to create new and improve existing tourism, hotel and other services, as well as introduce service thinking and advanced information and telecommunication technologies into the tourism business. 

The webinar was held in cooperation with the projects KA-3004 ''Cultural Training and Activation Initiative'' and the KA-8016 ''Cooperation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Tourism'' supported financially by the Karelia CBC Program.
