Corpus Linguistic Search Inquiries
On March 2, Mikhail Kopotev, Adjunct Professor of the University of Helsinki, Ph.D., PetrSU graduate, a world-class specialist in the field of corpus linguistics, will hold a scientific seminar devoted to the corpus linguistic searches.
This time Mikhail Kopotev will talk about what search inquiries and in which corpuses can be made. He will show specific examples, describe the formulas used in search systems in different corpuses, answer the questions of programmers and linguists regarding search systems, their operational principles and capabilities.
The meeting will be held at the initiative of the Department of the German and French Languages of the Institute of Foreign Languages, Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies and the Artificial Intelligence Center of PetrSU.
Everyone is invited to participate in the seminar.
The seminar will be held both onsite and online via Zoom.
It is necessary to register in advance to join the seminar.
