PetrSU Will Host the Programming Camp
Annual summer international programming camp will be held online at PetrSU on August 21-31.
One of the camp organizers Roman Soshkin, Candidate of Technical Sciences, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics said:
«It is the third time that the camp is held online. The camp was held remotely in summer 2020 and winter 2021. The guys will solve problems every day as before to prepare for the World Finals.
There are no problems in holding the camp regardless of mode. There are a lot of questions and problems from the outset, but if we do it many times, everything willregularly work. This is all thanks to Vladimir Kuznetsov, who set everything up at the first stages and made it just like a "routine" for the university since now everyone knows what should be done and the process gets going. Certainly, we have a lot of work, but we are accustomed to it».
The program of the winter camp includes 5-hour contests, problem analysis, cultural and sports events. Contests (problems) are of various types and difficulty levels and are written by the winners and prize-winners of the World Finals.
The winner is the team that by the final rating solves the most problems in the given time. If several teams solve the same number of problems, the winner is the team that was the first to submit the problem.Problem analysis provided by the experts allows the participants toensure this knowledge and submit unsolved problems.
Russia will be represented by teams of PetrSU, MSU, MIPT, SPbU, ITMO University, SPbAU, UrFU, SSU, etc.
The international participants are expected to be representatives from Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, China.
