Roman Soshkin, organizer of the contest, Candidate of Technical Sciences, senior teacher of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics:
“Regardless of the mode, it is not that challenging to host the camp. All thanks to Vladimir Kuznetsov who at the first stages has arranged everything and turned this into a “usual” event for the university, as the process is fine-tuned. There is of course a lot to be done, but the tasks are familiar.”
The Head of the Programming Club, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics Vladimir Kuznetsov:
“I wish all the participants self-discipline, will to win, and concentration on high performance.”
The camps at Petrozavodsk University are held since 1998, since 2000 they are held twice a year: in winter and summer. Summer and Winter Programming Camps are the largest international student programming camps that convene the strongest teams of the leading universities of the world. The event has long become a brand of both Petrozavodsk State University and the Republic of Karelia.
