Cooperation with Uzbekistan
The Center for Lifelong Learning and Distance Technologies of PetrSU continues to accept new students for study.
Educational cooperation between PetrSU and Uzbekistan continues. The economical growth, which Uzbekistan is currently experiencing, stimulates the demand for highly qualified specialists. Russian education is relevant and attractive for the young people of this Republic.
There is the technical area among the top-demanded specialties of higher education; there is also a great interest in pedagogy. Since the 2021/2022 academic year, Petrozavodsk State University has been teaching students from Uzbekistan online on 5 programs. In the near future, it is planned to add 4 more programs. The employees of the Center for Lifelong Learning and Distance Technologies, together with the institutes of PetrSU, manage to take part in the educational market of Uzbekistan.
On April 4, 2022, and on, 117 students began to study Pedagogy ("Primary Education" and "General Education").
From April 11, for the first time, PetrSU will teach 27 students in the field of Linguistics, "Russian as a Foreign Language".
