About Student Exchange

Lenara Smailova from S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University gave a few words about her studies on the exchange program at PetrSU.

“I am from Kazakhstan, Nur-sultan. I completed a semester at PetrSU as an exchange student in "Heat and Power Engineering", which was provided by S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University from February, 2022 to May, 2022.

Most of the students who participate in the academic exchange program consider this period to be one of the most memorable in student life. With the chance to learn something new and to test the gained skills somewhere outside the walls of your home university, it is a unique opportunity to see the world, expand your horizons, and, of course, make new friends.

For me, the time spent in Petrozavodsk is a priceless experience. Participation in the exchange program allowed me to assess my own knowledge and strength, to take a fresh look at things around me.

PetrSU has a very good organization of the studies of foreign students: they helped me with administrative formalities and emerging issues from the day of arrival until the end of my studies. There were many activities for international students, which led to a quick adaptation to the new environment.

I do believe that every student who has the opportunity to go to study on an exchange program definitely must take it.”
