PetrSU students and teachers held an online conference with the Japanese researcher and art scholar Mitsuru Takahashi (Open University of Japan Sendai City) on the topic "How can we study art activities?: Attempt to integrate brain science and social science".

In his report, the lecturer described the particulars of the impact various forms and types of art have on people’s thinking processes and psychology.

Feedback from our 3rd year student of the Institute of Foreign Languages Karina Novokshanova:

“Japanese colleagues keep on astonishing us with their wonderful discoveries. This time we had an opportunity to see and listen to a report on the research in human perception of art. It turns out any brain can work differently depending on a picture in front of a person, for instance a landscape or a portrait. During the online meeting, Mitsuru Takahashi showed us electronic devices which they used to study the work of a brain. The presentation was very insightful and descriptive. I am looking forward to the next meeting!”
