Within the framework of the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of India, Marina Gvozdeva, the Head of the Directorate for International Affairs, participated as an expert at two international round tables: " Problems of conservation and management of cultural and natural heritage sites in the contemporary context" and " Training and Supporting Young Professionals to Build a Promising International Education Area" in cooperation with the UNESCO New Delhi Office.

Andrei Belyaninov, The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, and Shruti Sharma, the representative of the UNESCO Cluster Office in New Delhi, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. At the first round table, participants discussed issues related to modern approaches to the preservation of world cultural heritage and tools for managing and promoting cultural and natural heritage. Since 2016, the UNESCO Chair “Wooden architecture research and preservation” has been operating in PetrSU under the Agreement between UNESCO, PetrSU and the Kizhi Museum. The participants of the round table noted the need to develop the network interaction among UNESCO Chairs to provide multilateral interuniversity, scientific and cultural cooperation at the world level.

At the second round table, a discussion was devoted to the training of young professionals in the current conditions of the new international educational space formation. The experts shared the best practices for organizing academic mobility and internships, invitation of professors and implementation of additional professional education programs. Marina Gvozdeva shared the experience of holding research schools at PetrSU, for example for the IT students; international online projects, which allow attracting more participants from all around the world. In the framework of the Eurasian cooperation, online communication, on the one hand, solves issues of logistics and migration legislation, removing the need to take part physically, and, on the other hand, it creates conditions for building professional communication and working in international teams, taking into account different time zones and national holidays, the cultural peculiarities of the participating countries, the real needs of local and international labor markets.

Alexandra Ochirova, the co-chair of the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador made a closing speech, drawing attention to the key importance of culture and education in the development and preservation of civilization.
