A delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg Visited PetrSU
The delegation included: Alisher Babaev, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg, consuls Ravshan Bakhriddinov and Temir Mirzaev.
PetrSU was represented by: Marina Gvozdeva, Head of the Department for International Affairs, Alexey Rogozin, Head of the International Projects Departmnet, as well as students from Uzbekistan studying at the Medical Institute.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of scientific and educational cooperation, academic mobility; exchange of information of mutual interest.
Consulate General employees talked with foreign students, discussed the possibilities of communicating directly with the Consulate General in case of problems or difficulties, and exchanged contacts.
Alisher Babaev donated several unique books to the Scientific Library of PetrSU:
1) Anthology of Uzbek poetry. In 2 vols. T. 1, 2 / Rep. comp. M. I. Sinelnikov. - M.: Publishing House Ladomir LLC, 2022.
The compiler of the anthology, the famous translator of oriental poetry Mikhail Sinelnikov, in an interview with the Khan-Tengri magazine (han-tengri@inveb.ru) says that the two-volume Anthology of Uzbek Poetry is living evidence of the mutual attraction of two cultures, two peoples, connected by general history at a certain stage. The interest of the Russian reader in one of the great poetry of the East - Uzbek poetry - has never faded. “Anthology of Uzbek poetry” opens with fragments of the epics: “Alpamysh”, “Ravshan”, “Kuntugmysh”, “Shirin and Shakar”, “Tahir and Zukhra”, “Arzygul”, contains Uzbek poetic classics and works of contemporary lyricists, representing the golden fund of the centuries-old culture of Uzbekistan - Navoi, Babur, creations of Mashrab, Ogakha, Nadira, Mukimi, Furkat, Hamza, Aibek, Gafur Gulyam, Hamid Alimdzhan, Zulfiya.
2) In the Name of Peace, Stability and Progress. — Tashkent: Tasvir, 2018. — 216 p.
The publication In the Name of Peace, Stability and Progress contains materials from the high-level international conference on Afghanistan “Peace Process, Security Cooperation and Regional Cooperation”, which took place on March 27, 2018 in Tashkent at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
3) Kuchiev Ismat. Babur. Through the Ages / Ismat Kuchiev; auto entry articles by Ales Badak; Minsk: Alfa-Kniga LLC, 2023. - 359 p.
The author of the book is Ismat Rakhmatovich Kuchiev, a publicist, writer, poet, public figure, and a member of the writers' unions of Belarus and Uzbekistan. The publication introduces the reader to a poetic narrative about the life of Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur, a talented commander, politician and wonderful poet - one of the greatest people of his time. The book was published to mark the 540th anniversary of the remarkable son of the Uzbek people.
4) Majid G'ayrat. Bunda bulbul kitob o'qiydi / G'ayrat Majid. - T.: Mashhur-Press, 2018. - 240 b.
G'ayrat Majid is a famous poet, writer, and journalist. In his new publication, Here a Nightingale Reads a Book, the author cites conversations with famous public figures about the idea of establishing creative schools at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
5) Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. — Tashkent: IPTD Uzbekistan, 2019. — 80 p.
