PetrSU Students in the Quarterfinals of the World Programming Championship

The university held a selection for the quarterfinals of the ICPC World Championship (International Collegiate Programming Contest), as a result of which three PetrSU teams will go to St. Petersburg, which will host the selection for the NERC Eurasian Finals, which is a qualifying competition for the world semifinals.

“The students had to solve 12 problems. Each task is a text description of the problem, which implies a solution in the form of a program that processes the input data and produces the result. Each problem must first be solved mathematically, and then a correct program must be written. The solutions of the participants are tested in an automatic system, where the result is immediately visible. At the closing there was a “defrost” of the results for the last hour of the contest,” - said team coach Ruslan Alkin, Deputy Head of the PetrSU Programmers Club.

PetrSU in the quarterfinals of the World Programming Championship will be represented by students of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies: Evgeny Smirnov, Daniil Alekseev, Elizaveta Gasova, Nikita Anisimov, Kirill Krishtal, Anton Lavrov, Dmitry Simagin, Dan Roytburd, Natalya Sobyanina.
