Institute of Foreign Languages at the International Conference
Associate Professor of the Department of the German and French Languages, Institute of Foreign Languages of PetrSU, Ph.D. Sabina Nedbaylik took part in the 3rd International Conference on Translation Studies.
On December 7-8, the 3rd International Conference on Translation Studies “Translation Times” was held in Craiova (Romania), organized by the Faculty of Philology of the University of Craiova together with the Romanian Society for Anglo-American Studies (RSEAS) and the European Society for English Language Studies (ESSE). Researchers from various universities in Finland, Spain, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Great Britain, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, France, Brazil and other countries took part in it.
The forum was held in a multi-sectional online format and had a very wide thematic range. The audience was presented reports on technical translation studies, creative artistic and literary interpretation, journalistic and political discourse, modern methods and technologies for teaching translation, etc.
Among the conference participants was the Associate Professor of the Department of the German and French Languages, Institute of Foreign Languages of PetrSU, Ph.D. Sabina Nedbaylik with a presentation on the topic: “Some Aspects of Antic Fables Translation by Slavic Authors of 18th-19th centuries” Her report was highly appreciated by the jury and was accompanied by a lively and interesting discussion.
Next year it is planned to publish a collection of materials based on the results of the forum.
