International Winter Sports Programming Camp at PetrSU
On January 30, international winter training camps on sports programming will start at Petrozavodsk State University.
The camp is held both onsite and online.
Programming camps in Petrozavodsk are widely known among professional community members. Today, on the basis of the Flagship University of Karelia, not only teams from PetrSU, but also participants from different universities in Russia and the world have the opportunity to gain experience in solving problems.
The training camp at PetrSU is held in the format of the finals of the ICPC World Programming Championship. This allows participants of the training camp to be guaranteed to receive a set of high-quality problems comparable to the set of problems at the finals, gain extensive experience in solving them, and in the future adequately represent their university at the main programming championship.
The training program includes five-hour competitions, problem analysis, cultural and sporting events. Contests (problems) of various types and complexity were developed by winners and prize-winners of world programming championships.
The winners of the training camp will be determined by the final rating of teams that will solve the largest number of problems in the allotted time. If the number of problems is equal, the team that did it faster will be higher in the rating. For all problems, the authors conduct analysis of solutions; participants can consolidate this knowledge and “finish” unsolved problems.
