Participation in the 2024 MJU Summer Program
Within the framework of the program Alisa got acquainted with the history and culture of the country, studied Korean language, visited places of interest and participated in master classes. The student learned a lot about the traditions and customs of South Korea, tasted the national cuisine and met new people.
The student shared her impressions:
"I was able to be a participant in the Myongji Summer Short Term Program, a two-week exchange program in August from Myongji University, Seoul, South Korea.
Students from different countries took part in this program: France, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia. I was the only one from Russia, and thanks to this I was able to practically evaluate my spoken English skill and improve it.
Three Korean students from Myongji University always were with us, so they helped us in every situation. They always made sure that we got the most information and saw the most interesting things.
During these two weeks we visited a lot of sights (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Lotte World, Namsan Tower, etc.), improved our Korean language skills, felt the rhythm of Seoul, tasted Korean food. Each day was filled with interesting events. The day I remember most of all was the day on the farm, when we played traditional games, competed in teams, picked fruits and vegetables from the vegetable garden and together we cooked pipimpab, a traditional Korean dish. At that moment, cultural and language barriers disappeared and we became a team.
The exchange program is a valuable experience. Despite the fact that there were different difficulties on the way, this trip allowed me to learn a lot of new things, to discover new things in other people and in myself, to get acquainted with Korean culture, with students from different countries and to get positive emotions.
Thank you very much to PetrSU for helping me to participate in the program!"
We thank Alice for her feedback and wish her success in her studies and language learning! We are sure that this is a valuable experience for further professional activity.
Participation in various programs from our partner universities is a great opportunity for students to expand their knowledge, meet different people and learn new skills.
