Meeting with a Researcher from Japan
In his lecture, the Japanese researcher spoke about various educational concepts existing in foreign schools, prospects of their application in teaching practice, and shared his views on the topic with the audience.
Here is some feedback from the audience.
Kira Topolova, 1st-year student (Institute of Foreign Languages, PetrSU):
“In his lecture Mitsuru Takahashi touched upon many topical issues and the main one was the purpose of modern education. He told us about research conducted in different countries and shared his thought-provoking ideas. The meeting was very interesting to me as a future teacher. I also liked that the lecture was given in English and the participants could have an opportunity to practice their speaking skills. I would like to thank the organizers for that interesting event.
Larisa Kalinina, Associate Professor, PhD in Education, Leading Researcher of the Department of Scientific Research and Grants of Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education:
“The meeting with Professor Takahashi was very interesting and informative. A lot of concepts presented in the report were revealed from a completely different angle. It was especially important to hear our foreign colleague's opinion on the world trends in education. The lecturer also focused on the the problem of giftedness as a resource that allows a student to actualize mental and creative abilities in learning. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers for the high level of preparation and conduct of the event.
