Students of the Institute of Foreign Languages at the International Conference "Student Scientific Readings"
The grand forum, held in a mixed format, brought together about 1,000 students and young researchers from various cities of Belarus, Russia and other neighboring countries.
The speakers had the opportunity to present their scientific developments in a variety of areas of linguistics, translation studies, literary studies, pedagogy and psychology, and methods of teaching foreign languages.
According to established tradition, the total number of participants also included students of the Institute of Foreign Languages of PetrSU.
Thus, student of the 132nd group Luiza Yusupova read a report on the topic "PACT Corps as an Opportunity to Conduct Student Scientific Research" (scientific advisor: Senior Lecturer of the German and French Languages Department N.S. Barymova); Alina Denisova (group 132) presented two reports to the audience: "On the use of parcellation in literary texts (based on the French and Russian languages)" and "On the stylistic differentiation of French vocabulary" (co-authored with Daria Morina, group 132) (scientific advisor: PhD, Associate Professor of the German and French Languages Department S.R. Nedbaylik); Daria Kalabanova and Alina Spoyalova (group 13) shared their developments on the topics of course research: "On the ways of forming argot vocabulary in modern French" and "On the evolution of epigrammatic style in European literature" (scientific advisor: PhD, Associate Professor of the German and French Languages Department S.R. Nedbaylik); student of group 153 Polina Ishkova introduced the audience to her research work "Gender Analysis of Types and Number of Errors in Students' Texts in a Foreign Language" (scientific advisor: PhD in Philology, Associate Professor of the German and French Languages Department I.A. Kotyurova); Vadim Luzyanin (group 153) presented a report on "Polysemy as a Subjective Characteristic of a Word" (scientific advisor: PhD in Philology, Associate Professor of the German and French Languages Department I.A. Kotyurova); Anastasia Kovalchenko (group 131) presented a report on "The Problem of Translating English-Language Fiction into Literary Russian" (scientific advisor: PhD in Philology, Associate Professor of the English Language Department N.P. Shablikova).
All the presentations were received with great interest and were accompanied by a lively discussion. We congratulate our students on their successful participation in the international conference and hope for continued cooperation!
