The Head of Karelia Met with International Students of PetrSU
The Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov talked with international students of Petrozavodsk State University as part of the meeting of the International Friendship Club of the Republic of Karelia.
The Head of the region discussed with natives of India, Jordan, Morocco and other countries the ways for foreigners to adapt to life in the region and advised them to actively get acquainted with the culture of the Russian North: try traditional Karelian cuisine, go skiing and visit attractions and historical sites.
In the spring of 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to create international friendship clubs to preserve the legacy of the World Youth Festival and improve international relations. Such a club in Karelia was created on December 17, 2024, on the basis of PetrSU. The organization united the existing student associations "Neighbors" and "MIR". The club is engaged in the adaptation and socialization of international students of PetrSU and provides them with various assistance.
