PetrSU Team Took Part in the International Guides Forum in Uzbekistan
The event, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism of Uzbekistan, became a platform for discussing global trends, digitalization of the industry and the development of active types of tourism. Among the participants were representatives of Petrozavodsk State University, who presented their reports in the section "Active and Sports Tourism: Priority Tasks and Development Prospects".
Employees of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of PetrSU, together with the Head of the Department of International Projects and Programs Alexey Rogozin, prepared three scientific and practical video reports created in the Jalinga studio.
Each report focused on current challenges in the industry:
"Active Tourism in the Republic of Karelia" (E.N. Makarenko);
"Expeditions of students of the Department of Tourism in the territory of protected areas in the Republic of Karelia in 2022-2024" (N.Yu. Kuznetsova)
"Organization of training camps as a new direction of sports tourism in the Russian Federation" (A.S. Mikhailov)
According to Alexey Rogozin, participation in the forum allowed not only to present the university's developments, but also to establish contacts with specialized tourism institutions of Uzbekistan:
“Active tourism is becoming a driver of regional economies, and our experience in developing educational programs and scientific research has aroused keen interest. Preliminary agreements have already been reached on further activities in the framework of training guides and joint research and internships for students in Russia and Uzbekistan.
