Over its 85 years of operation, the university has accumulated a wealth of experience in training highly qualified specialists who have made significant contributions to the development of domestic and international science and to strengthening the country's potential.

This anniversary marks a long journey, filled with significant events and the renowned names of outstanding scientists, professors, faculty, government officials, and public figures. Petrozavodsk State University was built on the talent and hard work of many people sincerely dedicated to their work.

Our team has conquered many peaks, achieved remarkable victories, and earned well-deserved awards. Our faculty has always been distinguished not only by its high professionalism but also by its creative, innovative approach to research and teaching. Unique creative teams and scientific schools have developed at the university. The high intellectual potential of its faculty and staff allows PetrSU to actively and successfully contribute to strengthening Russian higher education, advancing science and innovation, and nurturing new generations of successful young people and professionals.

Anniversaries are special occasions, prepared for and attended by the entire university staff. The anniversary we celebrate today speaks to the consistently high quality of education, the strength of our traditions, and the great predecessors we strive to emulate.
