More than 2,300 People Have Become Students of PetrSU
The student initiation ceremony is a long-standing tradition at PetrSU. This year, for the first time, the Military Orchestra of the Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School delivered a musical congratulatory performance. It became a highlight of the celebration and a gift for the first-year students.

As per tradition, the highlight of the celebration was the relay race for the passing of the key of knowledge.
Darina Dmitrievna Varlamova, a first-year resident at the Zilber Medical Institute, author of 33 scientific publications, winner of the Head of the Republic Karelia grant competition, and recipient of the Russian Presidential and Government scholarship, addressed the first-year students:
“Dear first-year students, this is the beginning of your journey, and for me, it's an exciting day. Just recently, I was in your shoes, and time flew by so quickly that I graduated last year. Student life is the best time. PetrSU is a wonderful platform for realizing your creative, athletic, scientific, and social potential. Enjoy every moment of your student life, and find what excites you. Never rest on your laurels, you will succeed!
Ulyana Yevtushenko, a first-year student at the Institute of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism, a Master of Sports of Russia in rhythmic gymnastics, a silver medalist in the Northwestern Federal District Championship, a champion of the Republic of Karelia, a multiple winner of regional, national, and international competitions, an excellent student, and a gold medalist, delivered a speech on behalf of the first-year students:
“Today is a special day: we, first-year students, are full of hope and ambition. We promise to work hard and strive for new heights. Thank you for believing in us, and we promise not to let you down!
