PetrSU Students Took Part in the Winter Program at Myongji University (South Korea)

PetrSU students spent two weeks in Seoul as part of a winter short-term program at Myongji University (South Korea). The trip allowed them to immerse themselves in the country's unique atmosphere, combining intensive language learning with a vibrant cultural experience.

Daria Shilyaeva, a student at the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences, shared her impressions:

“This two-week trip provided us with an unforgettable immersion into the culture, history, and contemporary life of this dynamic country.

The main goal of the program was cultural exchange and practical learning of the Korean language. Each day was carefully planned, combining morning Korean language classes with afternoon excursions to Seoul's most iconic sites, such as N Seoul Tower, Myeong-dong, Gyeongbok Palace, and much more! This format allowed us not only to study theory but also to immediately apply our new knowledge in a real-life urban environment. This trip not only left us with a wealth of knowledge and memories, but also an incredible number of new acquaintances and friends from all over the world!)) Thank you to the “PetrSU Exchange Program” for the opportunity!

Yulia Kuleshova, a student at the Institute of Philology, noted the program's rich cultural component:

“During the winter short-term program in South Korea, we had daily Korean language classes and organized events that explored the country's culture and traditions. We visited Gyeongbok Palace, where we tried on traditional hanboks, participated in taekwondo classes, and participated in a kimbap-making workshop. Overall, the program was an unforgettable experience and helped expand my language skills.
