Engineers of the Future from PetrSU
The students of the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences, members of the Student Design Bureau of Petrozavodsk State University Svetlana Gavrik and Aleksandr Tarasov took part in the 8th National Research and Technology Conference.
The conference took place in the framework of the 7th International Youth Industry Forum “Engineers of the Future 2018” in Ulyanovsk Oblast. The young engineers from PetrSU, the Flagship University of Karelia, presented their projects: Resource-Saving Retention System for Fish Cages and Continuous Sorting Machine.
The projects were implemented within the Engineering Center of PetrSU and the strategic project Comprehensive science and technology and import-substituting approach to the development agriculture and fish farming in the region and the Modernization of Research and Innovation Activities events of the Flagship University Development Program.
“At the Forum we became the students of the engineering and design faculty, acquired new skills in inventive problem solving, and received certificates. One of the days was staked out for excursions. We visited the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ), where we were taken on a tour around the machine assembling department to see every stage of production. It was captivating and insightful,” said Svetlana.
The Forum and the Conference were organized by the Russian Engineering Union, the Government of Ulyanovsk Oblast, and Rostech.
