Maslenitsa at the Linguistic Center of PetrSU

The students of the Linguistic Center of PetrSU make acquaintance with rich Russian culture.

The students from Belgium, France, and Japan who study the Russian language at the Linguistic Center of PetrSU visited the Kizhi Museum and took part in the celebration of Maslenitsa on Cathedral Square. They took in the new exhibition of the Museum and learned about the development of sewing, treated themselves to bliny and played folk games.

The students were happy to learn about the traditions of celebrating Maslenitsa in Karelia, picked up many new words and expressions, spent time outdoors and joined the celebration.
