Swedish Language with Lecturer from Stockholm
The 4th year students of the Institute of Philology studying the Swedish Language and Literature continue their classes with Aina Bigestans, a native speaker who is currently in Stockholm.
Olga Skorokhod, the 4th year student, shared her thoughts on studying the Swedish language online:
«Lately we have been studying online. The benefit of this format is the opportunity to adapt your timetable to studying. I devote my morning (starting from 9 AM) and half of the day (until 4 PM) to doing my assignments and studying lectures. In other words, I now have more free time, which I can spend in my case writing the thesis. Using special tools we create conferences and communicate with our teachers online. There are certain pitfalls, as sometimes there are sound issues, background noises, and it is hard to arrange group tasks, yet in the current situation, it is the best solution. In this way, for instance, we continue our communication with our lecturer from Sweden who even holds individual online meetings with each student. Under the circumstances, it is vital to continue the study process and master language skills, which is challenging without the help of a native speaker. All said, I do not think that to a philologist distance learning is something novel and unusual, on the contrary, we now have more time to read. As long as you keep fit and do not let your spine curve in a “C” shape.
