Students of the Preparatory Faculty Are Responsible and Self-Isolate

The international students of the Preparatory Faculty have become accustomed to the new form of distance learning.

The international students of the Preparatory Faculty who had come to Petrozavodsk to study the Russian language have had some difficulties settling into the new e-learning system as they had just come to the country and started accustoming themselves to the Russian educational system. All the same, they are now well adjusted to a new routine.

The students of the 8th group of the Preparatory faculty are responsible and self-isolate: they go out only to the nearest shop to buy groceries. Here is what the students have to share about their life in self-isolation.

Bulgamaa, a student from Mongolia:

“I spend a lot of time doing my homework. I have to study a lot to learn the Russian language well. Besides I exercise every day in the sports gym on the first floor of the dormitory.”

Joiner, a student from Indonesia:

“Now I learn to play guitar. So far I have modest progress but I am getting better with each day. Every day we sing songs with other international students residing in the dormitory.”

Mushota, a student from Zambia:

“Now I have to cook every day. Usually, I cook rice, beans, and potatoes, but now I want to learn how to cook something new like borscht, for example.”
