Academic Cooperation between Russia and China Continues
Andrey Kotov, the Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, took part in the Chinese-Russian online conference on educational exchange and cooperation in Shandong province.
The leaders of the higher educational institutions of the province representing Shandong University, Shandong Normal University, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Shandong University of Transport, Dezhou University, shared their practices of international cooperation.
Representatives of other Russian and Chinese educational institutions expressed their willingness to develop international exchange and research.
Among the participants of the conference was the President of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation grand-grandson of Leo Tolstoy Vladimir Tolstoy. He highlighted that in the 21st century the academic cooperation between Russia and China is flourishing in all its variety as the two countries cooperate within pre-university foundation programs, implement joint educational programs. Recent years have seen the trend in the establishment of associations of specialized universities of Russia and China: technical, creative, economic, medical, and several others.

Petrozavodsk State University implements the double degree program with Anhui Normal University. For several years PetrSU has been admitting Chinese students and schoolchildren to preparatory courses under the academic agreement with XUANJING New Education and Training Co. This year PetrSU signed an agreement with Shanghai FENGQING Training School Co.
The conference was organized at the initiative of the government of Shandong province by the CPE international company of education and technology under the aegis of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and Russian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature.
