The scientific conference «Cultural and Religious Diversity: the ways of cooperation and interaction» was held in Petrozavodsk in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The scientific conference «Cultural and Religious Diversity: the ways of cooperation and interaction» was held in Petrozavodsk in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Scientists, government officials, public and religious figures from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, and Kazan presented reports at the conference.

Professor of the Department of Russian History of PetrSU, Doctor of Historical Sciences Alexander Pashkov presented the report devoted to the "Milestones of Memory History: Karelia in the History of Russia".

The conference was organized by the Budget Monitoring Center of PetrSU, the Public Chamber of the Republic of Karelia, and the Society of Tatar Culture «Chulpan». Support was provided by the Presidential Grant Foundation.
