International Projects: from Idea to Implementation
In cooperation with the Karelian public diplomacy development foundation, Elena Chernenkova and Elena Tsumarova, Associate Professors of the Department of World History, Political Science and International Relations organized the online conference on International Projects: from Idea to Implementation for students of specialties «Political Sciences» and «International Relations».
The online conference was held in the framework of the foundation project "NGOs and Municipalities Develop Public Diplomacy",supported by the Ministry of National and Regional Policy of the Republic of Karelia.
Alexandr Berdino, project coordinator of the autonomous non-profit organization "Energy Efficiency Centre",addressed the audience.Referring to the working experience in project management, Alexandr Berdino spoke about how project was initiated, what was necessary to know in order to make accurate description and turn it into the application for funding, what should be taken into consideration when searching the partners and holding negotiations with them. He has presented currently available programs and funding tools of international projects, shared working experience with Finnish and Russian partners, particularly in the field of ecological management, and told about the successful applications and projects.
Students asked questions on opportunities of funding organizations in the current circumstances, specific tips on how to work, for example, with Finnish colleagues.
Such the online meetings with the experts, held in the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, open the new opportunities for interaction of the university, NGOs, experts and students.
