"The Finno-Ugric Vector in the Creative Economy"
The Department of Balticand Finnish Philology of PetrSU participated in the international project seminar devoted to "The Finno-Ugric vector in the creative economy".
The city of Khanty-Mansiysk became the venue for the meeting, though the main part was held online. The meeting was supported by Yugra State University and the Association of Finno-Ugric Universities.
The seminar convened Finno-Ugric public and non-commercial organizations, representatives of Finno-Ugric universities, including Petrozavodsk State University.
The seminar’s main topic covered the role of culture and traditional knowledge in the era of global changes.
A part of the seminar was devoted to the role of the development of the Finno-Ugric youth movement. It was mentioned that the role of future generations in preserving traditional values is very important. This year, Association Youth Council has been operating at the Association of Finno-Ugric Universities. The project communication site discussed the experience of successful youth engagement in the project activities of ethnic communities, as well as successful methods of intergenerational interaction in ethnic cultural projects in the Russian Federation and many other issues.
