Grant for Project Development with Sweden
The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, together with Stockholm University, won a grant from the Swedish Institute. The project "Sustainable Development and Education: Youth Exchange between Sweden and Russia" will be implemented over a year and a half.
PetrSU students of the programs "Russian as a Foreign Language" and "Swedish Language and Literature" and Swedish students of Stockholm University studying Russian will have a unique opportunity to introduce each other to the traditions and culture of their countries, as well as study the principles of sustainable development.
“Excursions, round tables, conversations with full professors and associate professors, who study the problems of medicine and ecology, journalists, eco-activists – all such activities will explore the principles of sustainable development implemented in Karelia and Sweden. It will also provide a unique opportunity to emerge the students into the authentic culture of their country. The visits of Swedish students to Russia and Russian students to Sweden are only the beginning of a long-term cooperation between PetrSU and Stockholm University, the purpose of which is to establish contacts, maintain friendly relations, implement joint projects and exchange programs”,
