Letter of Appreciation from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece and the Consulate General of Greece in St. Petersburg

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Kostas Vlasis, and Consul General of Greece in St. Petersburg, Mr. Spyridon Voulgaris, thanked the Department of Classical Philology, Russian Literature and Journalism of PetrSU for the organization of activities related to the International Greek Language Day.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Kostas Vlasis, and Consul General of Greece in St. Petersburg, Mr. Spyridon Voulgaris, thanked the Department of Classical Philology, Russian Literature and Journalism of PetrSU for the organization of activities related to the International Greek Language Day. 

The Consulate General of Greece in St. Petersburg sent a letter of appreciation to Evgenia Litinskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Classical Philology, Russian Literature and Journalism at the Institute of Philology: 

Dear Madam Litinskaya, 

I am forwarding you a letter of appreciation from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Kostas Vlasis, for your contribution to the celebration of the International Greek Language Day. 

For my part, please accept my sincere gratitude to you and the Department of Classical Philology of Petrozavodsk State University for the meaningful educational activities and for organizing wonderful meetings. 

By joining these meetings your colleagues, students of the department, representatives of the diaspora and students of the Ellinika School of Greek Language prove their passion for the Greek language and culture, their ecumenism.

The Department of Classical Philology, Russian Literature and Journalism of PetrSU had organized the festive events: 

·         Days of Science and the International Greek Language Day at the secondary school No. 46 in Petrozavodsk.

·         Celebration of the International Greek Language Day. 

Lyudmila Dyomina, a student of the program "New Greek Language and Literature, English Language" of PetrSU, had completed and enriched the video of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece to the Day of the Greek Language.

 Pupils, students as well as philhellenists from 54 countries answered the question "why do you learn Greek?"
