Study Abroad: Students Share Their Experience
The Department of German Philology and Scandinavian Studies hosted an online meeting at which students of the English Department shared their experience of studying at universities in other countries.
Aleksandra Kuznetsova, the 3rd year student, talked about her exchange visit to Tarragona (Spain). Even though her visit coincided with the pandemic and the studies were held online, Aleksandra gained precious experience of studying and living in a different country. The student shared with the participants of the meeting colorful photos and vivid impressions of her trip.
Marina Fateeva, the 4th year student, visited Tampere University as an exchange student. As she has left for Finland before the pandemic, she had the chance to travel across the country and study on campus, and then with the start of the lockdown, she could appreciate the distance learning at a Finnish university.
The 1st year student of the Department Kirill Platonov shared his experience of studying at three universities in England, Scotland, and Ireland before enrolling in PetrSU. Kirill told about his learning experience and compared several aspects of the educational process.
All three presentations of the students stirred interest and prompted a lot of questions among the students.
“Studying on exchange in foreign universities is a great opportunity to practice your language skills, experience new culture, and broaden your horizon,” believe the students.
