PetrSU Employees Upgrade Their Qualification in International Marketing
Advanced training courses on Education Marketing: Promotion of Educational Organization in the International Market of the Educational Services (given the regional specifics) were held in the Karelia Branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
On the part of PetrSU, Representatives of the Academic Mobility Department, Institute of Medicine, Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences, Institute of Economics and Law, Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Institute of Foreign Languages participated in courses.
In addition to PetrSU, representatives of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Lomonosov Northern Federal University, North West State Distant Technical University, the North Institute (branch) of the All-Russian State University of Justice (RPA of the Ministry of Justice of Russia), Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatory, joined the courses etc.
There was a hybrid mode of learning: for two days, the participants studied lectures and materials independently followed by distant work with experts. The participants practiced the acquired knowledge and skills in the course of four-day teamwork in on-site classes.
The participants have been split into five groups, every group conducted the analysis of own marketing activities, internal resources availability, competitors and possibility of exporting education to a particular country.
Teams had to design a project about marketing strategy for the promotion of their university in the higher education market of a particular country. Courses completed with presentation of the final projects showing the long-term perspective of entering the international market of educational services.
Expert commission highly assessed PetrSU teams’ performance. All the participants have successfully completed advanced training courses.
