Sixty-two students have come to Karelia to study at the Medical Institute of Petrozavodsk State University.

This year is special for the Medical Institute of PetrSU. After the thorough preparation and organization, the Institute admitted its first-year Indian students to the General Medicine program.

The sixty-two students have come from different cities and states of India but they all aspire to receive higher medical education in Russia and become doctors.

For two months, the students have been adjusting and adapting to new conditions, frosty winter, busy study schedule, the university itself, the teachers and employees, as well as to each other. Having learned a little bit about our country, the students from India decided to tell about their country.

On January 26, the Republic Day of India, the first-year students hosted a presentation about their country, performed songs and dances, presented their traditions and national costumes. Among the audience were the employees of the Academic Mobility Department, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Marina Gvozdeva, and the administration of the Medical Institute.

We thank the Dars Education Consultancy and its director Sajal Thakur for the fruitful cooperation, personal contribution to the development of reliable partnership and express our gratitude for such motivated, creative, talented and bright students.
