“It Was an Amazing Opportunity”
Exchange student Luca Ciabocco from the University of Urbino (Italy) told about his studies at the Institute of Philology.
“My name is Luca Ciabocco, I am from Italy and I’ve spent a semester as an exchange student at Petrozavodsk State University from January till May 2022.
During this time, I took classes together with other Russian students. It was an amazing opportunity to learn more about the language, customs, and culture of this great country, as well as meet its hospitable people.
In Petrozavodsk I’ve made new friends, gained new experience and gone on short trips (to the Kizhi Island, Ruskeala Mining Park, Murmansk, St. Petersburg).
Classes were interesting and teachers helped a lot both in classes and during the examinations.
Living in a dormitory was unusual to me, yet even though adaptation can be challenging, dormitory is a place where it is easy to make new friends and practice the Russian language with my peers and employees.
In the university and the dormitory everybody was kind to us and ready to help us solve any problems.”
