India's Republic Day at PetrSU
On January 26, India celebrates one of the most remarkable holidays of the country - the Republic Day. On its eve, the Medical Institute held a meeting with Indian students (the 1st and the 2nd of General Medicine English Medium). At the moment 164 Indian students are studying at PetrSU in the 1st and 2nd years.
Marina Gvozdeva, the Head of the Directorate for International Affairs, and Ekaterina Ivanova, the Head of the Department of Academic Mobility, also attended the meeting and congratulated the students on the Republic Day.
The Indian students were reminded that the study of the Russian language is very important for the future development of the cultural dialogue.
The students were also introduced to Russian legislation and the importance of migration registration.

More than 70 years ago, the first Constitution was signed in India, which marked the final stage of gaining independence. Today, India is the largest country by population, recently crossed the 1.4 billion mark and overtaken China, which has been the leader in this area for many decades.
