Social Well-Being of Individuals and Society in Modern Russia
The social well-being of an individual and society is one of the pressing problems of our time, acquiring new meanings in modern geopolitical and socio-economic conditions, requiring a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis.
The conference organizer is the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Petrozavodsk State University.
The venue for the event was the Boiling Point - Petrozavodsk center.
The Head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Yulia Aleksandrovna Petrovskaya – Chairman of the organizing committee, Head of the section “Economic and social aspects of well-being” addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. The conference also included the work of the sections “Political aspects of social well-being” (headed by S.S. Rozhneva, Associate Professor, Candidate of Political Sciences) and “Family, education and health care as factors of social well-being” (headed by O.V. Fedoseeva, Associate Professor, Candidate of Social Sciences) with organizational and technical support of Senior Teacher D.I. Sachuk.
Representatives of the academic community, teachers of higher education institutions, young scientists from various regions of the Russian Federation, from the Republic of Karelia to Vladivostok, as well as the Republic of Belarus, took part in the conference in full-time and remote (online) formats. In their reports, the participants presented an in-depth analysis of the philosophical, socio-economic, political aspects of social well-being, as well as issues related to the development of the social sphere (education, health care, labor and employment, social protection of the population).
The conference became a platform for scientific discussions of more than 150 scientists and researchers of different levels and status (Bachelor's and Master's Degree students, graduate students, candidates and doctors of sciences, associate professors and professors) from all over Russia and the Republic of Belarus. Based on the results of the event, it is planned to publish a collection of conference materials.
