Medical Students Celebrate Diwali

29 November 2024
A concert dedicated to one of the brightest and most significant holidays in India – Diwali – was held at Petrozavodsk State University.

Diwali is one of the most revered holidays in India, it symbolizes light, goodness and beauty.

This holiday has a special meaning for students from India: it unites them far from home, helps to preserve traditions and share them with others.

Marina Gvozdeva, Head of the Directorate for International Affairs of PetrSU:

“Today, we already have 475 Indian students studying at PetrSU. The students came from 22 states of the Republic of India, and, of course, it is very important for them to demonstrate what their region is proud of, their art, their culture. We are glad that the university can create such platforms, not only for study, but also so that everyone can be imbued with culture, united by this common impulse to get to know each other better.

The program of the event was rich and diverse. Indian students delighted the audience with bright dances and songs. The concert lasted for 3 hours.

The fiery musical rhythms and bright national costumes left no one indifferent.
