Institute of Philology Has Received a Letter of Gratitude

The Institute of Philology received a letter of gratitude for Evgenia Petrovna Litinskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Classical Philology, Russian Literature and Journalism.

The management and teaching staff of the Department of Russian Philology and Slavic Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens express their gratitude to E.P. Litinskaya for her significant and multifaceted contribution to the development of cooperation between our universities and the strengthening of Russian-Greek academic ties. The letter particularly notes the role of E.P. Litinskaya in concluding a bilateral cooperation agreement between the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and PetrSU, signed in November 2021.

Expert activity is noted:

participation of E. P. Litinskaya in election commissions during elections for the position of assistant of the Department of Russian Philology and Slavic Studies in the specialties "Slavic Languages: Translation and Culture" (October 2022) and "Applied Linguistics: Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" (December 2022), as well as in the dissertation council for the defense of T. V. Sorokina's dissertation on the topic "Linguistic Ways of Expressing Politeness in Russian and Modern Greek. Comparative Pragmatics" (December 2024),

participation in the accreditation of the interfaculty master's program "Translation: English, Greek, Russian Languages" (June 2024).

Colleagues from Greece note the educational, teaching and organizational work of Evgenia Petrovna:

giving a lecture on the topic "The Artistic Word of F.M. Dostoevsky in Modern Greek Translations" for undergraduate and graduate students of the department (May 2021),

preparation and holding of numerous joint student events dedicated to the cultural traditions of Greece and Russia, remote meetings between students and teachers of our universities (2020–2024),

coordination work on conducting a special course on the topic "Ancient Greek Tragedy in the Modern Cultural Space: Based on Euripides' Tragedy "Medea"" for students of Petrozavodsk State University (spring semester 2021),

organization and holding of the 7th International Conference "Russia and Greece: Dialogues of Cultures" (October 2023),

participation in the organizing committee of the International Scientific Conference dedicated to M.M. Bakhtin, which is scheduled for December 2025.

The Department of Russian Philology and Slavic Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens hopes for continued cooperation and expresses its readiness to participate in joint projects and initiatives.
