PetrSU Students Participate in the "Global Summer School of Wuhan University"

Students of the Institute of Philology studying in the field of training "Russian as a Foreign Language, Chinese Language" are taking part in the international "Global Summer School of Wuhan University", which is held from July 2 to 15, 2025 by the Institute of Foreign Languages and Literature of Wuhan University (Wuhan, China).

This is an international cultural, educational and enlightenment project, which is carried out by Wuhan University under the patronage of the Ministry of Education of China, for international students from Russia and Belarus studying Chinese. The theme of the school this year is "Dialogue of Chinese and Russian civilizations in the era of digital intelligence". An open competition was announced for participation in the school, in which students from 14 universities took part, as a result of which 25 people were selected, including students of the Institute of Philology of PetrSU Anna Borisenkova, Valeria Ivanova, Violetta Talonpoika and Yulia Ivanova.

The summer school program is very rich: it consists of several educational and cultural-educational modules. The educational module includes lectures and seminars on the following topics: "Jinchu Culture and Dialogue of Chinese and Russian Civilizations", "Artificial Intelligence in Education and Language Teaching", "Chinese Language and Interpretation", "Development of Modern China and Wuhan City".

The cultural-educational module includes master classes in calligraphy, traditional painting, tai chi, tea ceremony, etc. In addition, excursions to museums and libraries of Wuhan University, the Hubei Provincial Museum, the Panlong Ruins Museum, the Wuhan High-Tech Industrial Park, and a walk along the green road on Donghu Lake are planned for the school participants. Upon completion, each participant in the program receives a certificate from Wuhan University confirming participation in the program. Participation in the program, including accommodation on the student campus, is free.

Wuhan University is a national research university located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. It is one of the most prestigious universities in China, recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education as a Class A Double First Class University. Wuhan University is located on Luojia Mountain. For PetrSU students, this is an entry to a qualitatively new level, an opportunity to get acquainted with leading educational practices and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the country of the language they are studying.
