A PetrSU Student Won a Grant from the Government of the People's Republic of China
In the spring of 2025, Bohai University (China) announced a call for scholarship recipients for the 2025 International Chinese Language Teacher Grant program. This competition brought together talented students from all over Russia seeking a unique educational experience.
Arina Tipunova, a second-year student majoring in Linguistics (specializing in Russian as a Foreign Language and Chinese) at the Institute of Philology at PetrSU, demonstrated exceptional ability and determination, successfully overcoming all the challenges of the competitive selection process. Thanks to the effective support of the staff at PetrSU's Academic Mobility Department, she received the necessary letter of recommendation and successfully submitted her application.
The long-awaited news of her victory arrived only in mid-July – she became the recipient of a six-month educational grant. Arina's success is the result of hard work and constant improvement of her language skills. She actively participates in additional courses and programs aimed at enhancing them. In 2023, she successfully completed an internship in Anshan, receiving a certificate. In December 2023, the student passed the HSK-2 exam, and in March 2025, she successfully passed the higher level, HSK-4. Arina also enriched her experience by taking a short-term summer Chinese language course at Northeast University of Economics in Dalian.
In September, Arina began her studies at Bohai University. Her first weeks in China were very intense and exciting. The student has already participated in the "Chinese Language Experience" event organized by Bohai University. The participants were given a trip to another city, where they visited factories, a museum, and hot springs.
In her free time, the student actively explores the beauty of both the Bohai University campus and China's landmarks. She enjoys strolling through parks, alleys, and landmarks, exploring the unique architecture and natural environment. She shared photos capturing picturesque corners of the campus, as well as new places she visited during the trip.
We congratulate Arina on her well-deserved victory and wish her success in mastering the Tai Chi Culture program! Her impressive progress in mastering the Chinese language and active participation in international programs are an inspiring example for the entire student community.
